Imperial Logistics Companies win Gold and Silver at the PMR Awards

Johannesburg, South Africa, 15 September 2009 - Imperial Logistics today announced that it is the proud recipient of two PMR awards. Two Imperial Logistics Operating Companies, TFD Network Africa and The Cold Chain received the Golden Arrow and Silver Arrow Awards respectively. Both companies were rated "1st overall outstanding performance" in the national survey on FMCG Supply Chain Management Companies. The awards confirm Imperial Logistics' leadership position in ambient, chilled and perishable supply chain management solutions in the FMCG industry.

PMR.africa recognises leaders in the South African FMCG Supply Chain industry for outstanding business processes, commitment to customers, innovative solutions and fulfilment of service level agreements. TFD Network Africa competed in the General Supply Chain Management category, while The Cold Chain took part in the Chilled and Frozen Products category section.

PMR.Research conducts annual national surveys on FMCG Supply Chain Management Companies, measuring service levels and customer satisfaction across various industry sectors. The surveys are conducted by interviewing more than 100 participants comprising distribution and logistics managers in the FMCG industry. The companies are rated across a range of 25 attributes, such as collaboration, technology development, cost-effectiveness, flexibility, innovation, just-in-time deliveries, problem-solving, facilities, commitment to customers in adding real value, competence, thoroughness, reliability, administration and overall fulfilment of service level agreements.
