Through its flagship, Megafreight Services, IMPERIAL Logistics is in a position to provide and develop world-class freight forwarding and clearing solutions, supported by an electronic data interchange (EDI) system. Megafreight, consistently being rated one of the top 20 IATA agents, is a fast growing ocean freight forwarder in Southern Africa, offering fully integrated and tailored air and ocean clearing services. In 2001, Megafreight bought JH Bachmann & Company from IMPERIAL Holdings, who then in turn acquired controlling shares in Megafreight at the same time. With this acquisition, additional branches were opened in Port Elizabeth and Pretoria.
