IMPERIAL Logistics’ companies shine at PMR Achievers Awards

IMPERIAL Logistics has received a Golden Arrow Award at the 2012 Professional Management Review (PMR) Awards. This followed PMR Africa’s annual, national survey on FMCG Supply Chain Management Companies in South Africa. A global leader in logistics and supply chain management, the IMPERIAL Logistics Group was the highest rated in the category, Area of Specialisation: General.

IMPERIAL Logistics’ member companies were also recognized at the prestigious awards ceremony. TFD Network Africa received a Bronze Award in category, Area of Specialisation: General. The Cold Chain, which manages the largest basket of Chilled and Frozen Products in the South African FMCG industry, was rated highest in the Chilled and Frozen Products category. It received the Golden Arrow Award for Outstanding Performance.

VMS (Vital Merchandising Services) was honoured with two awards – a Silver Arrow Award in the category Dedicated: Cape Town, Durban & Johannesburg and a Gold Arrow Award in the category Synergised: National, ranking second and first overall respectively in these categories.

Such recognition serves to further confirm IMPERIAL Logistics' FMCG leadership - with proven delivery in ambient, chilled and perishable route to market solutions. Companies were rated by FMCG manufacturers and suppliers based on the level of collaboration that has been achieved within supply chains. Survey respondents rated companies across a range of 25 attributes including client commitment, cost effectiveness, flexibility, thoroughness and reliability and innovation.
