Transport Forum October 2010

IMPERIAL Logistics participated as an exhibitor at the Transport Forum Special Interest Group meeting, which was hosted by the University of Johannesburg Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (Africa) on 14th October 2010.
With the theme of ‘Transport Essentials presented by Women’, dynamic solutions to tough challenges were presented, with topics such as ‘The value of technology in transport related decision making’, ‘Coal haulage: road to rail migration’, ‘Should the freight sector be in therapy?’ and ‘Port terminal operations – the African context’ featured on the agenda.
These leading women in logistics and supply chain management created a positive and fresh take not only on how to tackle issues, but how to turn challenges into growth opportunities.
The October forum formed part of the industry’s annual celebrations during South Africa’s Transport Month, and its networking value proved just that – good value.
