History of Business
The Tran-Send brand was established in 1988 with Container Logistics being launched in 2005. Ukhamba Holdings, a leading South African broad based black economic empowerment partner bought 26% thereof in 2006. In the following year, IMPERIAL Logistics acquired 74% of the company.

Tran-Send specialises in container logistics, including packing and transportation of export minerals and the import and export of cargo. The company manages container traffic to and from all South African ports.

Key Business Strengths
Tran-Send has a hands-on approach to management of shipments from ‘Shipped on Board’ status through to empty turn-in. Its innovative IT system provides full track and trace, as well as document retrieval. Working with more than 90 independent LSPs, Tran-Send prides itself on the fact that no load is too big or too small.
